Designs

I've always shied away from designing, in part because of my fear of using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. But Fundamental of Design was required in order to graduate, and so I put off the class until my final semester, only to discover I really liked designing. Although it was different from writing and editing, it was refreshing. Here are the designs I had so much fun creating.

After reading an article from The Atlantic, I created these illustrations with two other people using Illustrator. Then, we each designed a spread using the same illustrations. Here is my interpretation and design:

After choosing a magazine to redesign, I created my own version the cover and feature in the August 7, 2017, issue of Sports Illustrated.

From 36 black and white photos, we had to narrow it down to six or seven photos that would tell the story of this young boy. In addition, I wrote the hed and dek, chose the fonts and designed the entire layout.
